In Love with Flourish by Ciana Bodini

Im in Love with Flourish by Ciana Bodini

I love the vintage vibe to this collection

Red Valentino’s Fall 2012 Collection was whimsical and sweet, just like

Flourish! The whole collection was infused with blushing pinks, ruffles, florals on

florals, and over-the-top bows This dress was reminiscent

of Camelots Flourish print.

Flourish by Ciana Bodini. Flourish is a soft and dreamy collection of pretty florals

and streamlined prints. The inviting peach, mint, and mineral blue hues are a

perfect combination for this romantic collection. The effortless femininity of this

collection is reminiscent of a quiet spot in the outskirts of Paris – all you’re

missing is a chic dress, classic french read, and a vintage bicyclette!

Due out Late January in USA, feb in UK

Also check out Ciana Bodini webpage for further scrummy photos.

THE FINAL CURTAIN....

This what Saturday night boredom does for you......

After having dinner and watching X Factor with Hubby, we couldn't find anything we really wanted to watch on TV, so Hubby played PSP and decided to see if I could make a dress in a night....

One Butterick pattern £6.00. Cut to size 14, (and that just fits, think I need to lose an inch or two!).

One pair of curtains from the charity shop £6.00.
The fabric for the these is really heavy and quite thick to work with and where I was to gather the fabric I put pleats that laid flat in instead, on the skirt and on the shoulders. I haven't hemmed it yet, but I can sit and do that in front of the TV tonight.

Think I might be making more, I am going to hunt out a sightly thinner curtain fabric and make the wiggle dress next. So if you a hording old curtains of funky fabric and you are looking for an individual look, look no further.

MEET VINCENT

Meet Vincent, Vinny for short.

He is a little monster, well not so little anymore approx 14" x 14".

He loves his moustache.

He loves doors and floors.

He is made from vintage barkcloth fabric from the 70's, a black dotty fabric, Full moon in slate and a few vintage, retro or just darn cute button eyes.stuffed with polyfil, with a little room left to add yor own bag of rice, to make him bottom heavy
(SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY THE POSTAGE).
Hidden zip along the bottom allows you to fill the space up. Fully overlocked.
My handmade label on the back and a black dotty ribbon tag to finish him off.

MEET OLIVE THE OWL........

Don't be shy olive........

There you are! Hello Olive

It's what's inside that counts......

Made with love...

Add a spot of retro 70's toweling fabric, felt, pink bias binding and cute tiny french floral fabric.
And Olive the Owl Tea Cosy is born..... I had a small dilemma as my tea cosies are normally called Ollie the Owl but after seeing her sit there, I didn't think it right to call her a him!
