Doll Quilt

After what seems like an age making quilts.
(the day job kind of took over, too many hours….)
neglected the sewing, the shop not moving forward,
ideally you need to spend many hours on websites

Paris is doing her usually best to pose!!

2.5" squares make into 2" finished squares
8 squares by 10 squares
16" x 20" approx

Used the Rose & Hubble cotton

Now to get on and enjoy making more.
Come on Autumn lol

Rag Doll Kit in the Making!

Meet the Gang
I was going to wait until I have received the fabric back before showing you them
but couldn't!
I want to sell ready make dolls and in kits, with cute felt booties and little pillowcase dress or skirt.
The kit still not totally planned! will have this fabric, a little booklet with instructions and a pattern for felt booties, dress & skirt, piece of fabric to make clothing and felt for the booties.
I think the only thing I won't include is the stuffing as this bulks it out...
Can't wait to get some back so I can sew and show you.
They take up 1/2 yard of fabric each.

Life in Miniature blue

Dollhouse bedding set
Made in Cape Anne Fabric
I keep saying I will be making more of these and I will!
The drawstring bag really works.
Smaller than the 1" cushions or pillow throws in the picture
Took me 2 attempts to get it right (at 11pm last night!
Throw is lineen machine stictched in stars and then hand frayed
I don;t have a dolls house, only a homemade box room
which still needs decorating on the walls.
Wouldn't mind a window or fireplace.....
this can be addictive.......
just need to perfect 12th scale bunting.

Doll Quilts & Bunting

The sun popped out
and I was at home
I got some mini quilts photographed
I used Cape Ann Fabrics for 3 of them
 one in blues
88 2.5" squares into 2" squares
One in Green
And one in pink
All with spotty bias biding from my shop
Matching scallop bunting
2" wide 1.5 metres long
Loop ends and cute covered buttons
to finish the ends ready for hanging
And then some more..
A simple grey pompom quilt
would make a great baby photo prop
A slightly smaller one
Liberty of London prints
Think I have shown this one before
a candy mix of pinks and prints
Love making these
just too many fabric collections to choose from!

Cape Ann for Doll Quilts

Just purchased some Cape Ann
I have been looking for cutie fabric to make doll quilts with.
And then remembered this from Oliver & S.
I think the 3 colourways will make 3 great patchwork quilts.
Any doll quilts I make seem to sell in the girly pastel colours first, over bright colours. But we shall see.
Just also means I get a theme going through with the mini quilts.
And can make a couple of each colourway at a time.
So hopefully in a couple of weeks I can have something to show you.

Postage Stamp Doll Quilt

 Doll Quilt
88 x 2" (2.5" pre-sewing) squares
approx 18" x 22"

With a matching 5" x 8" pillow
Hung over my own 1970's doll cot
from when I was once small!
Although I love those prop beds as seen on Etsy, as it would be easier to photograph
I may now have to tackle a full size postage stamp quilt,
may take a while......

Just had to........

Just had to purchase her

I don't normally buy other craft kits, but she was just looking at me and she is totally cute.
She can sit and feature in my doll quilt photos.
So now I am going to have to make a red, white and blue one first....
