FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY
I have been trying to come up with all sorts of ideas on promoting myself, and getting my 'stuff' out there for all to see and buy.
The biggest problem I have is I have many fans and friends but I still need to sell my wares! Could be a number of reasons; my goods are ''extras' not essential items needed within the home / my friend's have not seen or touched some of the items in the 'flesh', so have yet to spend their hard earned cash on a "I want one of those" items / or my stuff is like Marmite you either love it or hate it.
Sooooo to get the word passed on and to promote myself I need to get into peoples homes, put myself on display, and to start off this idea, I will be giving away an Ollie & Olive Egg cosy on 1st March. I will do a give away each month on the 1st of the month, and the prizes should get bigger and better, if my sales get bigger and better!!
To get a chance at winning the egg cosy, go the below link, the name will be drawn from a hat (or something of similar elk), a name from the fans of blonde designs on the face book page will be picked.

Molly & Izzies Package
Finally got around to sending off a few bits to Molly & Izzie's shop this afternoon, which include Ollie & Olive (I will be making more of them this week to sell on etsy & folksy), As well as bunting and aprons, I made a couple of lined tote bags (in the pictures), and velvet 10" cushions (in pictures).
I'm in the middle of making a few more cushions to sell as I received a huge bag of new cushion inners on Saturday, which was approx the height and width of me, my hubby thought highly amusing to keep using it as a battering ram, Mmmmmm do men ever grow up?
Well hope Sarah likes the selection or more to the point the customers do! as we all have to make some money!! I'll upload close up pics to my face book page Blonde Designs.
Crumbs & Doilies
This is just a quick note to those who have never visited crumbs & doilies website don't know what they are missing out on, for my mums 60th birthday last summer I made a stack of cupcakes with ideas from crumbs and doilies, (you need a good 2-3 hours just to mix up coloured icing!!), they have a blogspot and looking at the site this morning just makes me want to go make some more.

Charity Shop Finds
Yesterday was spent with my sis-in-law, Leas trawling through the vast amount of Charity shops in Eastbourne, of which there they are approx 15 in number! I went with mission to find 60's & 70's curtain weight fabric to turn into retro Ollie & olive's, but found nothing, although my mission was not in vain.
As well as finding a fab 1970's teapot, for £5.00, (which I will now look out for the rest of the set on eBay and places), I found in one charity shop 'St Winifred's Hospice' they have a great selection of vintage aprons, I thought I had died and gone to heaven, my only problem was which one to buy! Although I may just have to go back next week and buy a couple more to sell on as they were all scrummy.
As you can see by the photos I picked up a cute old fashioned dress pinny, which gathers in at the waist and a tie belt, and pockets, I am tempted to wear this with skinny jeans and a white tee-shirt to go out in...........all for £2.75.
The 2 hangers cost me 75p, a green painted wooden hanger and a lilac with blue plastic goes perfect with the apron to hang on the door in the kitchen.
I never feel guilty when charity shopping, plus it is always a chance to get something original, the junk nobody wants......... Kx

Ollie & Olive
I have finally finished my first family of owls, of which there will be more. Ollie the Owl is a tea cosy, Olive the Owl is a coffee cosy and the kids of which there will I hope be many more are egg cosies.
Now Easter looks like it could be around the corner, it may be time to buy a little eggstra(!) special egg cosy for that little somebody in your life! Just go to my website, where they will come eggtraviantly(!) wrapped. I'm sorry I just had too...........!
There will be more Ollie's & Olive's, as I will be sending one of each of them up to Molly & Lizze's shop in Cheshire, along with a selection of the children.
I am also looking to put them in a shop in Eastbourne called Roots & Boots (short for Local Roots and Wellie Boots!)
